Chillin’ With Old Man Winter

Welcome! If you’ve made it here, then you must be someone who, like me, LOVES winter. Now I'll admit, I tend to have a reputation as some grumpy old guy who doesn't know how to have fun. But when I'm in Wisconsin, I flip that opinion on its ear. (Sometimes it’s a back flip while snowboarding!) I am thrilled to be writing about winter sports, fun events and meeting Wisconsinites who really make me feel at home. So check out some of the entries below, and you’ll see that Old Man Winter really is hotter in Wisconsin.

I stopped by the Milwaukee’s Polar Plunge at Bradford Beach this morning. What a way to support a local charity…the Special Olympics that is! Brought my dog, Colby too. It was great watchin’ all those people run into the chilly water of Lake Michigan and then, verrrry quickly run out. What a crop of winter-lovin’ folks!

I suggest all you “polar bears” go and grab a nice cup of coffee or hot apple cider at nearby Alterra Coffee by the Lake.
